Fortnight Sites

Websites for accountants, bookkeepers and coaches who get work by referral.

When someone is referred to you, they look you up before they get in touch. A clear site that says what you do and how to reach you, from $1,500 + GST, live in a fortnight.

The problem

A referral looks you up and finds a LinkedIn profile.

Most of your work comes from people who were told about you. Before they email, they search your name. If all they find is a LinkedIn profile or an old listing, they have to guess what you actually do, who you do it for and what it might cost.

That is the moment a clear website earns its keep: it answers those questions and makes getting in touch the easy next step.

What's included

A site that explains what you do, in plain words.

  • What you do, and who you do it for
  • Your fees or packages, if you publish them
  • An about page that reads like a person, not a brochure
  • An enquiry form that lands in your email, and a Book a call button linking to the scheduling tool you already use, such as Calendly
  • Links to your LinkedIn and other profiles
  • Your Google Business Profile set up or tidied, so you show correctly on Google Maps
  • Up to four pages, with the domain and hosting set up

Want a blog you post to yourself, or bookings and payments built in? That's the website with the works, from $2,500 + GST. If your profession has its own advertising or registration rules, those apply to the words on your site, and the final say on them is yours. Not the right fit for big online shops, enterprise systems, anything that needs a team on call around the clock, or anything that needs a hand-coded build.

Proof

Where I am coming from.

Before Fortnight Sites I spent ten years in recruitment, where the job was understanding what people actually need. There are no client sites to show yet, but you can see two live projects I built and still run: Blinker, an Australian app with accounts and payments, and StackFall Arena, an online multiplayer game.

Questions

The things people ask first

Can you write the copy for me?

You provide the substance and I shape it. Send notes, an old proposal or your LinkedIn summary, and I edit it into clear page copy. You approve every word before it goes live.

Do I need a blog?

If you want to publish articles, yes, and you can post to it yourself. A blog is part of the website with the works, from $2,500 + GST.

Can I add a page later?

Yes. New pages are quoted separately before any work starts. Small changes to existing pages, like text, photos and prices, are included in the monthly plan, up to 30 minutes a month.

Can people book a call with me through the site?

Yes. A Book a call button links straight to the scheduling tool you already use, such as Calendly, so calls land in your calendar as they do now.
