The short version: browse freely, nothing here is a contract until you accept a written quote, and when you do, the price is fixed, you pay half up front and half before launch, and you own the finished site.
Part 1: Using this website
What the site is for
fortnightsites.com.au tells you what I do and how to get in touch. It's run by Jordan, trading as Fortnight Sites, a sole trader in Melbourne, Australia.
Prices and information
Prices on the site are starting points, shown so you know roughly what to expect. The actual price for your job is the one in the written quote you receive after we talk, and that quote is what we both work to. I keep the site accurate, but I can change prices, services and content at any time without notice, and nothing on the site is an offer that binds either of us until a quote is accepted.
Examples and other people's sites
The live work shown on the site is real and belongs to its owners. Links to other websites, including my own products, are provided for convenience, and I'm not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.
Copyright
The text, design and images on this site are mine unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to link to the site or quote from it with a mention. Please don't copy pages or reuse the design as your own.
The contact form
Use it to ask about work. Anything you send is handled as described in the privacy policy. Don't send passwords or payment details through it; I'll arrange a safer way if I need them.
Part 2: How working with me works
Every quote I send comes with a one-page terms of engagement document. Accepting the quote, by replying yes or paying the deposit, means accepting those terms. This is a summary of them so there are no surprises. If anything here differs from the document that comes with your quote, that document wins.
- Fixed price. The quote lists exactly what's included. Anything not listed is extra and quoted separately before I start it.
- Payment. 50% deposit to start, 50% before the site goes live. Bank transfer, seven days from invoice. The site launches when the balance is paid.
- Timeline. A standard website is live within a fortnight of receiving your content: logo, photos, words and any logins. Larger builds have their own timeline in the quote.
- Changes. Two rounds of changes are included after you see the first working version. Changes to the agreed scope are quoted separately. After launch, small changes are covered by the monthly plan or charged by the hour.
- Ownership. Once the final payment clears, you own the site, its content and its design, and the domain is registered in your name. I keep the right to show the work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to. Anything you supply must be yours to use.
- Keeping it running. An optional monthly plan covers hosting, domain, backups, security updates and small changes. Cancel any time; I hand over the files and domain within 14 days, no exit fee. Without the plan, I hand everything over at launch and keeping it online is yours to manage.
- How I build. I use AI tools to do the building and check everything myself. If your job really needs a traditional hand-coded build, I'll tell you up front and point you to someone who does that.
- Cancelling. Before work starts, the deposit is refunded in full. After work starts, the deposit is kept to cover work done, and if more than half is finished I invoice in proportion and hand over the work to date.
- If something goes wrong. I fix faults in my work free for 30 days after launch. My liability is limited to what you've paid me. I'm not responsible for downtime or data loss caused by third-party providers. Nothing here removes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
- The legal bits. The quote and the terms of engagement are the whole agreement. Changes must be in writing, email is fine. Victorian law applies.
