Fortnight Sites

A website that takes bookings and payments while you work.

Customers book and pay on your site, and the money goes straight into your own Stripe account. From $2,500 + GST, usually live in three to four weeks.

The problem

Bookings by phone and text eat your day.

Every booking that comes in by phone, text or direct message means stopping what you are doing to check a calendar and reply. Then come the reschedules, the no shows, and the payments you have to chase afterwards.

An online booking and payment setup takes most of that off your plate. Customers pick a time, pay or leave a deposit, and get a confirmation without you lifting the phone.

What's included

Bookings, payments and a site you can update.

  • Everything in the standard website: up to four pages, a contact form, domain, hosting and Google set up
  • Online bookings or quote requests, either built into your site or by connecting a booking service you already use. I recommend one in your quote.
  • Card payments through Stripe, including Stripe's one-click Link checkout
  • Payments go straight into your own Stripe account, in your business's name. I never hold your money.
  • Your cancellation policy built in, so refunds follow your rules automatically
  • A gallery or menu you can update yourself
  • A test booking and a test payment before anything goes live

Stripe charges its own transaction fees to your Stripe account. They are not part of the fixed price, and I don't take a cut. Not the right fit for big online shops, enterprise systems, anything that needs a team on call around the clock, or anything that needs a hand-coded build. If that's you, I'll say so up front and point you to someone better suited.

What it costs and how long

The works tier, quoted before anything starts

Website with the works

From $2,500 + GST. Bookings or quote requests, payments, and a gallery or menu you update yourself. Usually three to four weeks.

Keep it running

$80 a month + GST. Hosting, domain renewal, backups, up to 30 minutes of changes a month, and I fix it when it breaks. No lock-in.

How it works

How a build like this runs

  1. Day 1We talk, and you get a fixed quote the same day.
  2. Day 2Content checklist, plus the decisions a booking or payment build needs: booking setup, your cancellation policy, who gets notified.
  3. Week 1Your Stripe account is set up in your business's name, and the booking setup is chosen.
  4. Week 2First version, with bookings and payments working in test mode, at a real address you can try on your phone.
  5. Week 3Your changes, then a test booking and a test payment from start to finish.
  6. LiveUsually three to four weeks from when your content and accounts are in.

The two week timeline on the home page is for the simpler site. Bookings and payments take longer, and the quote says exactly how long.

Proof

Payments I already run.

There are no client booking sites to show yet. The payments work I can show is my own: Blinker, a live Australian app that takes real payments and has its own accounts and backend. I also built and run StackFall Arena, an online multiplayer game with accounts and leaderboards.

Questions

The things people ask first

Who holds the money?

You do. Payments go into your own Stripe account, set up in your business's name, and Stripe pays them out to your bank account. The money never passes through me.

What are the payment fees?

Stripe charges a fee on each payment, taken from your Stripe account. Those fees go to Stripe, not to me, and they aren't part of my fixed price. Stripe lists its current rates on its website.

What happens when someone cancels?

You decide the cancellation policy, for example a full refund if they cancel 24 hours ahead, and I build it in so refunds follow your rules automatically.

Do I need a separate booking app?

Not necessarily. Depending on your business, bookings can be built into your site or handled by connecting a booking service you already use. I recommend one in your quote.
