Fortnight Sites

Websites for tradies that make it easy to call you.

For plumbers, electricians, builders, carpenters, cleaners and gardeners. A site that shows your work, your licence and the areas you cover, from $1,500 + GST, live in a fortnight once your content is in.

The problem

Customers want a few answers before they ring.

Before someone calls a tradie they usually want to know a handful of things. Do you cover their area? Are you licensed? Have you done this kind of job before? How do they reach you? If your site doesn't answer those on a phone screen, or there is no site, they go back to the search results and try the next name.

You already have all of that information. It just needs to be in one place that loads quickly on a phone.

The solution

A site built around getting the call.

  • A call button that works on a phone, at the top of every page
  • A quote request form that lands in your email, so enquiries sent after hours are waiting for you in the morning
  • Your licence number, ABN and the suburbs or areas you cover
  • A gallery of your own job photos
  • Your Google Business Profile set up or tidied, so your business can appear on Google Maps
  • Up to four pages, with the domain and hosting set up

Not the right fit for big online shops, enterprise systems, anything that needs a team on call around the clock, or anything that needs a hand-coded build. If that's you, I'll say so up front and point you to someone better suited.

Proof

Things I've built and run myself.

There are no tradie websites to show yet. What I can show is two live products I built and still run: Blinker, an Australian app with accounts, payments and its own backend, and StackFall Arena, an online multiplayer game with accounts and leaderboards. Both are more involved than a tradie website, which is the point.

Questions

The things people ask first

I don't have good photos of my jobs.

Phone photos are fine. Send me what's on your phone and I'll pick and tidy the best ones. Photos of your own jobs do more for you than stock photos of someone else's.

Who owns the domain and the website?

You do. Once the final payment clears, the website, its content and its design are yours, and the domain is registered in your business's name. While you're on the monthly plan, I look after it for you.

What happens if I stop the monthly plan?

Give me 30 days' notice, and within 14 days of the plan ending I hand over all the site files and the domain, and transfer any logins to you. There's no exit fee. Any hosting I've been paying for stops, so to keep the site online you'll need to pick up the hosting yourself.

Can I change things myself, like prices or hours?

Yes. Up to 30 minutes of small changes a month, like text, photos, prices and hours, are included in the monthly plan, so you can just email me. If you'd rather make simple updates yourself, I can set that up too.
